Upon arrival, our team will escort you to your hotel in Moshi, where you can enjoy dinner and an overnight stay with breakfast included. Later in the evening, you’ll attend a Kilimanjaro briefing and equipment check, ensuring you are fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, you’ll depart from Moshi and drive to the Rongai Gate, where porters will help organize your belongings and assist with registration. From here, your trek officially begins, winding through a peaceful pine forest. After a lunch break along the trail, you’ll continue hiking until you reach Simba Camp (2,600 m / 8,530 ft), where dinner and your first overnight stay on the mountain await.

After breakfast, the trek continues toward Kikelewa Cave (3,600 m / 11,811 ft). Along the way, you’ll pass the Second Cave (3,450 m / 11,318 ft), where you’ll stop for lunch before resuming the climb. By afternoon, you’ll arrive at Kikelewa, where tents will be set up and camp prepared for your overnight stay.

Today’s journey is a shorter but rewarding trek that leads you to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,330 m / 14,206 ft). Along the way, you’ll enjoy striking views of the moorland, dotted with unique plant species adapted to the high altitude. Upon arrival, camp will be set up and a hot dinner served as you settle in for the night beneath the dramatic peaks of Mawenzi.
After breakfast, you’ll ascend across the Saddle, a barren and dramatic alpine desert that connects Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The trek leads to Kibo Hut (4,700 m / 15,419 ft), where you’ll arrive in the afternoon. An early dinner will be served to give you time to rest and gather strength in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

After a light tea and biscuit break, you’ll begin the final summit ascent, passing notable landmarks such as Hans Meyer Cave and Gillman’s Point (5,685 m / 18,651 ft). The trail becomes snow-covered as you approach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,340 ft)—the highest point in Africa. Take in the breathtaking views, capture photos, and enjoy a warm cup of tea before beginning your descent. You’ll first return to Barafu Camp, then continue to Kibo Hut for lunch and rest. The trek concludes with a further descent to Horombo Hut (3,720 m / 12,204 ft) for the night.

After breakfast, you’ll make the final descent to Marangu Gate (1,830 m / 6,003 ft).
